Book A Speaker
As the mother of an active-duty soldier in Afghanistan, Kelly was aware of the possibility of losing her son, but no doubt that foreknowledge did not make the news that her son, Army SPC. Corey Kowall, had been killed on September 20, 2009, any easier to bear.
Almost immediately, Kelly turned that tragedy into a wide-reaching good by finding a way to help others deal with their grief. In 2010 she founded her first non-profit organization, FAVE Boating Expeditions. In 2012 she officially founded My Warrior’s Place, where our American Heroes and their families can find refuge and have a place to heal from the tragedies they have had to endure. FAVE Boating Expeditions then became a program under My Warrior's Place along with other programs that were specifically created to bring about hope and healing.
Kelly is an ICF certified Life Coach and a certified Grief Services Provider by the American Grief Academy.
Kelly is also an accomplished writer, speaker and has over 20 years experience in sales, marketing and management. In 2016 she published her first book entitled “My Life After... the death of my son - a story of miracles”.
